DRAFT – to be reviewed by a lawyer

The rules for using TapMyTicket as a buyer. Organizers sell the tickets; we run the platform and collect payments for them. Organizers also agree to the Organizer Agreement.

1. Who we are

TapMyTicket (the website tapmyticket.com and our apps) is a brand of STEANGJEAR PVT LTD, a company registered in India with its registered office at A-13, Third Floor, Front Side Left Portion, Maya Puri, New Delhi - 110064 ("we", "us").

TapMyTicket is a ticketing marketplace (a marketplace e-commerce entity under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, and an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000). Event organizers list their events and sell tickets through us. The organizer is the seller of the ticket, runs the event and is responsible for it; each event page shows who the organizer is and how to reach them. We provide the platform, collect payments for the organizer through our payment partner Razorpay, issue your ticket and help with entry, transfers, resale and refunds.

2. Agreeing to these terms

By creating an account or buying a ticket you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Refund & Cancellation Policy and, if you resell, our Resale Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Younger fans can attend events, but a parent or guardian must book for them.

These Terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and need no physical or digital signature. They are published as required by Rule 3(1) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. You accept them by ticking the box when you first log in; we record the date and the version you accepted.

3. Your account

You log in with a one-time code sent to your email, or with Google. We never ask for a password.

  • Give us your real name and a working email and WhatsApp number. Gate staff may use your name to find your booking.
  • Keep access to your email and phone safe. Anyone who can read your login code can open your account.
  • One account per person. Don't create accounts for others or use automated tools to create accounts.
  • You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account.

4. Buying tickets

A ticket is a permission (licence) from the organizer to attend the event, under the event's rules shown on the event page, such as age limits, ID checks and items not allowed.

  • When you start checkout we hold your tickets for a short time (usually 10 minutes) so nobody else can buy them.
  • Your order is confirmed only after your payment is verified. You then get your ticket in My Tickets and by email (and on WhatsApp if you gave us your number).
  • Organizers can limit how many tickets one person may buy.
  • Before you pay, checkout shows the organizer, the event's refund policy and the full price breakup. Nothing is pre-ticked for you.
  • We may cancel an order, with a refund of everything you paid, if we reasonably suspect payment fraud or find a pricing error. Tickets bought in breach of these Terms (for example by touting or bots) may be cancelled under "Fair use and conduct".

Tickets are delivered digitally, as explained in our Ticket Delivery Policy.

5. Prices, fees and taxes

Every price on TapMyTicket is the all-in price: what you see on the event page is what you pay at checkout. No new charge is ever added at checkout.

For paid tickets the price includes our fees (currently 4% of the ticket price + ₹5 per ticket in total, never more than 10% of the ticket price, plus 18% GST) unless the organizer pays them for you. Tap the price breakup to see each part: the ticket price, our platform fee, the payment-processing charge (about 2%, which the bank and payment network keep) and GST. Free tickets carry no fees. See Pricing.

Payments are processed by Razorpay. You may see "STEANGJEAR PVT LTD" or "TapMyTicket" on your bank or UPI statement. We never see or store your full card number, UPI PIN or net-banking password.

6. Your ticket and entry

Most tickets use a live QR code that changes every 15 seconds and works without internet. Screenshots will not work: open the ticket in the app or website at the gate. Some events use a printable (static) QR instead; the event page says which.

  • Each ticket lets one person in once, unless the event says otherwise.
  • The organizer may refuse entry or remove you for safety reasons or for breaking the event's rules. Refunds then follow the organizer's policy.
  • Follow the event's rules shown on the event page, such as age limits, ID checks, bag checks and items not allowed. If an event is 18+ or serves alcohol, you may be asked for a government photo ID.
  • The organizer and the venue are responsible for safety at the event. Please follow their staff's instructions. Events may be photographed or filmed by the organizer; the event page says so where it applies.
  • Lost or changed your phone? Log in on the new phone and your tickets come back.

7. Transfers and resale

If the organizer allows it, you can transfer a ticket to a friend once, free, by email, until the show starts (not after it has been scanned at the gate). Your QR is cancelled and your friend gets a new one in their TapMyTicket account; they can't transfer it again. Until your friend logs in with that email, you can cancel the transfer.

Refunds always go back to the person who paid, to the original payment method. Once you transfer a ticket you can't ask for a refund of it yourself; if the event is cancelled, the refund for it still goes to you, not to your friend.

Can't go? You can resell your ticket on TapMyTicket for up to its face value, under our Resale Terms. Selling tickets anywhere else for more than face value is not allowed, and such tickets may be cancelled without a refund.

8. Refunds and cancellations

Each organizer sets a refund policy, shown on the event page and at checkout. Refunds follow that policy and our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If the organizer cancels the event, you get your refund automatically: everything you paid except the payment-processing charge shown in your price breakup. If we cancel your order, you get everything back.

9. Fair use and conduct

Please don't:

  • use bots, scripts or many accounts to buy tickets, or try to get around ticket limits or queues;
  • copy or scrape our site, or try to break into accounts, systems or tickets;
  • list fake events, post false reviews or misleading content;
  • harass organizers, gate staff, other fans or our team;
  • use TapMyTicket for anything illegal.

We may suspend or close accounts that do any of these things and cancel the related tickets.

10. Content you must not post

This applies to everything posted on TapMyTicket, including event pages, photos, reviews and profiles. As required by the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, you must not post anything that:

  • belongs to someone else and you have no right to use;
  • is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invades someone's privacy (including bodily privacy), or insults or harasses anyone on the basis of gender;
  • is racially or ethnically objectionable, promotes enmity between groups, or relates to money laundering or gambling;
  • is harmful to children;
  • infringes a patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary right;
  • deceives or misleads about where it came from, or knowingly spreads false or misleading information;
  • impersonates another person;
  • threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with other countries or public order, or incites an offence;
  • is AI-generated or digitally altered to look real (for example a deepfake of a person or a fake photo of an event) without a clear label saying so, or is meant to deceive;
  • contains viruses or other harmful code;
  • breaks any law in force.

We may remove such content and suspend the account. Report it from the page or to our Grievance Officer; we act within the times set by these Rules (as amended in 2026). We remind all users of these rules at least once every three months.

11. Event listings and how they are ranked

Organizers write their event pages and are responsible for them being true and lawful, and for running the event as described. We check listings, but we can't guarantee every detail. If something looks wrong, tap Report on the event page or contact us.

Events are shown and sorted by your city, the date, the category, how well they match your search, and how popular they are (for example tickets sold and people interested). Organizers cannot pay to move up the list today. If we ever offer paid placement, those events will be clearly labelled "Promoted".

Featured events (the first row on the home page) are picked by our team and are never paid. Example listings made by us to show how the site works are labelled "Example" and can't be booked.

New organizers: for 60 days after an organizer's first event goes live, their events may be given some places in "Popular" lists (at most 1 in every 5 places) and are marked "New on TapMyTicket", so new organizers get a fair chance to be seen. This never applies when you filter by organizer rating.

Ratings: only people who paid for a ticket and went to the event can rate the event and the organizer. Where the organizer scanned at least half of a date's tickets at the gate, only people who were checked in can rate that date. We show the average star rating once there are at least 3 ratings, and we don't remove ratings because they are negative. Written comments are shared only with the organizer. If you filter by organizer rating, organizers without enough ratings yet are listed separately as "New on TapMyTicket".

12. Messages we send you

When you book, we send your booking confirmation, tickets and important event updates (such as a change of time or a cancellation) by email, and on WhatsApp if you gave us your WhatsApp number. These messages are part of the service.

Offers and news about new events are sent only if you said yes, and you can switch them off any time in Profile. To stop WhatsApp messages, reply STOP or remove your number in Profile.

13. Our responsibility (liability)

The organizer, not TapMyTicket, is responsible for the event itself: its quality, safety, line-up, timings, venue and any changes. Claims about the event itself must be made against the organizer; we will help you reach them and will refund you as our Refund & Cancellation Policy says.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the platform fee you paid us for that order, plus any amount we are required to refund under our Refund & Cancellation Policy. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses such as travel, hotel or lost earnings.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

14. How we provide the service

We work hard to keep TapMyTicket available and correct, but we provide it "as is". We don't promise it will always be free of interruptions or errors, or that every event will take place as listed. We may change, pause or stop features to improve or protect the service.

Some parts of the service are provided by others, such as Razorpay (payments), Google (login) and WhatsApp (messages). Their own terms also apply when you use them.

15. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events we can't reasonably control, such as natural disasters, epidemics, government or police orders, riots, strikes, power or network outages, or failures of banks and payment systems. Your refund rights when an event is cancelled still apply.

16. Your responsibility

If you break these Terms or the law while using TapMyTicket (for example by touting tickets, using bots, posting unlawful content or misusing someone else's payment method), you agree to cover the reasonable losses, costs and legal fees this causes STEANGJEAR PVT LTD, to the extent the law allows.

17. Suspending or closing accounts

You can close your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or close an account, and cancel tickets bought in breach of these Terms, if we reasonably believe it is being used for fraud, touting, abuse or anything unlawful. Where possible we tell you why and give you a chance to respond. Valid tickets bought fairly are refunded if we cancel them.

18. Our name and your content

The TapMyTicket name, logo and app design belong to STEANGJEAR PVT LTD. Don't use them without our written permission.

If you upload a profile photo or write a review, you allow us to show it on TapMyTicket. You keep ownership of it.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please write to our Grievance Officer first; most problems are solved quickly. If a dispute can't be resolved, the courts at New Delhi will have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the product grows. We will show the new date at the top and, for important changes, tell you by email or in the app before they apply. The Terms that applied when you bought a ticket apply to that ticket.

21. Other legal terms

  • These Terms, together with the policies linked from them, are the whole agreement between you and us about using TapMyTicket.
  • If a court finds any part of these Terms invalid, the rest still applies.
  • If we don't enforce a right straight away, we haven't given it up.
  • You may not transfer your account or these Terms to someone else. We may transfer them to a company that takes over TapMyTicket, and we will tell you if that happens.
  • Parts that by their nature should continue after your account closes (such as liability, your responsibility and governing law) continue to apply.
  • We send notices to the email address on your account. You can send notices to admin@tapmyticket.com or to our registered office.
