Fan resale is capped at the ticket's face value, so nobody profits from touting. Your QR is cancelled when the ticket sells, and the buyer gets a new one.
1. Who can resell
If you hold a valid ticket and the organizer allows resale for the event, you can list it from the ticket screen: tap "Can't go? Resell". Resale closes when the event starts.
TapMyTicket only provides the resale service; we don't buy your ticket and can't promise it will sell. By listing, you confirm the ticket is yours and was bought fairly. Ticket resale above face value is restricted or an offence under some state laws, which is one reason we cap the price.
2. Price cap
You can ask for any price up to the ticket's face value, which is the ticket price, not including the platform fee. The app won't accept a higher price.
3. Resale fee
The buyer pays a 5% resale fee plus 18% GST on that fee, already included in the all-in resale price they see. As a seller, you pay nothing to list.
4. Waitlist first
If people are on the waitlist for that ticket type, the first person in line gets the first chance to buy your ticket, for 15 minutes. Then it is offered to the next person or shown to everyone.
5. When your ticket sells
Your ticket and its QR are cancelled straight away, and the buyer gets a brand-new ticket with a new QR. You can't use the old ticket after it sells.
6. Payout to sellers
You receive the resale price to your UPI ID or bank account after the event ends, usually within 5 working days. We wait until the event ends to protect buyers from fraud. Add your UPI ID in Profile before you list.
7. Delisting
You can remove your listing any time before it sells. If the event is cancelled, listings are removed and you get the refund described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
8. Prohibited resale
Selling TapMyTicket tickets anywhere else above face value, using bots, or buying tickets only to resell them is not allowed. We may cancel such tickets without a refund and close the accounts involved.
